Spring Fling

The annual Spring Fling event which showcases a large variety of local arts, crafts and design talent returns next month. The open studios weekend is from May 25th to 27th when visitors can meet the studio owners in person and see first hand what is created. This year sees the first Spring Fling Fringe which offers a variety of events and activities from Classical Music to Cookery. See www.spring-fling.co.uk

Ospreys Return

Our regular pair of ospreys have returned to the nesting site near Threave Castle on the River Dee. This weeks guests have very much enjoyed watching from the viewing hide.

We have just had a cancellation for the Easter weekend if anyone is looking for a 3 night B&B break or Dinner B&B if preferred.

The Wickerman Festival is on the weekend of 25th/26th July 2013. We have 1 room left at £150 for the two nights. Included in the cost is free transport to the festival on the Friday and the Saturday.

Improved facilities

Following requests and comments from a number of our guests we have now fitted a full size electric oven into the carriage in addition to the other kitchen equipment.

From the end of the first week in December we have had the bet showing of barnacle Geese yet. At dawn and dusk the flights coming over are amazing. The fields at the back of the house during the day are just full of them.

We have now added a full size single oven to the carriage catering facilities so that should help with all you budding Jamie Olivers out there. We intend also to build a wood burning oven but that is probably for the 2014  season. watch this space.
